Tickets will go on sale to the public this Saturday, December 19th, which is the same day I’ll be playing an acoustic cancer benefit show at Reggie’s in Chicago.  Who knows, we may even give away some tickets at the acoustic show, so if you were holding out on going THIS MAY CHANGE YOUR MIND. Hopefully I’ll see you Saturday, which will also be the 50th Saturday Night Music Club!  More exciting news will be revealed this week so stay tune friends and foes. I wish I could go Saturday. :( OMG THAT METRO SHOW SOUNDS FANTASTIC! IM SO GOING. This sounds like it might be worth going to. I’m not a big fan of Sing It Loud (I did see them open for The Spill Canvas), but they aren’t bad. The Academy Is…, however, is one of the few currently-popular “punk” bands that is any good. Plus, it’s hard for me to believe that Almost Here came out five years ago. I was a sophomore in high school at the time…

I'm torn about the 2010 Formula One season...

McLaren Mercedes has Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button. Who will they favor? Hamilton, the 2008 World Champion, who is quite possibly the next Michael Schumacher or Ayrton Senna? Or Button, the current World Champion who drove well with BrawnGP, but over the course of his career has been only okay. Hopefully the decision is easy to make.

Next, Mercedes GP (formerly BrawnGP) is rumored to be bringing the aforementioned Michael Schumacher out of retirement. This sets the stage for what could be a triumphant return for the 7-time World Champion. There is always the risk that Mercedes will not be able to produce the car that will propel Schumie to success and his return could be marked by staggering defeat. We’ll have to wait and see on this one.

Then comes Lotus, returning to Formula One for the first time since the early ’90s. The driver lineup consists of Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli. Both are consistent drivers. I am questioning whether or not the team will be extremely competitive this season, however, because they will not have a car until February.

Anyways, who do I support? Hamilton? Schumacher? Lotus?

I guess I’ll have to wait until the cars compete for the first time in March to decide…It’s going to be a long winter…
